Vice Prime Minister Etienne Schneider at ESA/ESTEC
On the 6th of March Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Affairs Etienne Schneider paid an official visit to ESA/ESTEC – the European Space Agency - in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. The Minister was received by Mr. Franco Ongaro, Director of Technology, Engineering and Quality, and Head of ESTEC, and briefed on the latest projects developed by the agency, which presently counts 22 member countries.
The Minister informed on the latest space related initiatives promoted by Luxembourg, notably the ‘Space Resources’ project which has received strong backing from commercial space initiatives ( for more information click here ), and after a round table discussion he met a group of Luxembourg young scientists enrolled at ESA/ESTEC’s Young Professional Trainee program.
A festive dinner reception hosted at the Luxembourg residence concluded Minister Schneider’s visit.
